Compliance & Privacy
How to stay compliant with GDPR and privacy regulations while using EasePop.
EasePop is committed to transparency in how we handle your data and your users' data. A core pillar of EasePop's philosophy is the principle of data minimization. All our servers are located in the European Union, and your data and your users' data are not transmitted to third parties outside the European Union.
Using EasePop
To safely use EasePop on your website, link our privacy notice in your site's privacy notice and list EasePop as a data sub‑processor.
When you install EasePop on your website, our servers automatically receive the following information about your users when they load the EasePop script. This data is transmitted for operational reasons and stored only in an anonymized way.
- IP addresses
- UserAgent strings
When you use form submissions, EasePop stores the following data until you delete the submission. Make sure you have the right to process the submitted user data.
- Form submission data (whatever the user submits)
- UserAgent strings
Under Article 17 GDPR, users are entitled to have their personal data deleted. If you receive such a request, delete any user data saved in a submission from EasePop using the website or the API.
Cookies
In normal operation, EasePop does not use cookies. If you enable a visitor targeting option that is not
"All Visitors" for a popup on your website, a flag is stored in localStorage to distinguish visitor types. While this flag
does not include personally identifiable information, you may be required to list this in your site's consent
notice.
